  • Update to Members

    At the 46th IFES AGM, nine (9) verified nomination forms were received for the nine posts open for election, no election was needed and hence the nine (9) candidates were automatically elected as members to the new Management Council for a 2-year term effective from the date of the AGM:

c. The meeting approved to amend the constitution to include Honorary Legal Advisor
    
d. The meeting unanimously approved to amend the constitution to include sending notice via electronic means

    Advanced Fire Dynamics and Application to Performance-Based Design

    IFE will be conducting a virtual seminar on Advance Fire Dynamics and Application to Performance Based Design taught by Mr Peter Senez from Canada.

    Peter Senez is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in fire safety engineering. He is well- practised internationally in performance-based design and forensic engineering. His practical experience in industry has afforded insights to generate research on ignition, fire dynamics, and fire spread. He is currently researching at the University of Waterloo, in Canada, while continuing to practice as a fire engineering consultant. In the past, he has initiated, grown and developed the largest fire engineering firm in Canada, and lead an international firm’s global practice in forensic engineering. He is currently the Chair of the SFPE Subcommittee on Research and Innovation and is also a Governor and Chair of the Technical Committee on the SFPE Foundation.
